Kepa has to go!
Jamie Carragher correctly said, “Chelsea won’t go no further unless they change their goalkeeper.
“Going back to how important goalkeepers are I look at this Chelsea team and there’s a lot I like about it, it does remind me in a lot of ways the position Jurgen Klopp was in a couple of years ago.
“[Lampard] has done as much as he can, yes Frank’s still in his early stages but those big signings can completely transform you as a team.”
Chelsea’s situation right now seems very similar to Liverpool a few seasons ago before the arrival of Alison. A lethal attack ,a study midfield, a mediocre defense ,but with almost no protection In front of the goal. Looking at the past winners of the Premier League both Liverpool and Manchester City had to change their goalkeeper in order to win Britain’s most elite price. If Chelsea want to make a real strong bid for the Premier League next season We are sorry to say but, kepa has to go!
let us consider the options Chelsea could have to replace him.
The Dream
Jon Oblak remains as the dream signing for too many Chelsea fans., Regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world by many pundits, the Atletico Madrid defender has a release clause of £108.9 m. This no doubt is an extraordinary amount off fees for a goalkeeper , but Chelsea have a reputation of breaking the world record fees for buying a new goalkeeper as was the case with kepa.
Chelsea, who could not take part in transfers because of the ban, are looking to shake the market with some record statement signings and signing of Jon Oblak would be an incredibly strong statement.
There is no question about his quality and Chelsea can be assured of a well performing goalkeeper in Oblak.
Another Spaniard
If Oblack is a dream then, TER STEGN Is a beautiful reality. Barcelona have not been able to extend his contract beyond 2022 and this could come as a positive feeling for Chelsea. Again, this would not be at a cheap price, and, one would expect Chelsea to go all out if they want to sign him.
Mundo Deportivo has claimed that kepa could be used in Switch between the 2 clubs.
kepa, who is highly regarded by the Spanish media as the next big thing and Ter Stegn, who wants an increase pay can both be satisfied if this still takes place.
Another from Ajax plz
The 2019 nominee for Ballon d’Or, best goalkeeper in the world, Onana, Seems to be leaving Ajax this transfer window, with Barcelona Chelsea appearing to be the top destinations along with PSG.
Hakeem Ziyech, another Ajax player who had recently signed for Chelsea could play a major role in bringing Onana to Stamford Bridge.
He would not be as expensive as Stegn or Oblak, but he has been highly regarded by many pundits as the next great goalkeeper.
Joseph Antoine Bell told Goal that, “So all we can wish or I can wish for Andre is [for him] to become world number one. But you know being among the best is easy and it is even easier than being the best [which] is only one spot. Being among the best you can be number two, number three, number four, number five. So no one can predict he is going to be the world’s best but at least we know he is already among the best.”
Future looks bright for him.
THE PREMIER LEAGUE WONDERS
If Sheffield United are pushing to European spot this season then, it has a lot to do with their on loan goal keeper, Dean Henderson.
Manchester Evening News claim that Chelsea have made an approach to Manchester United for Dean Henderson and Frank Lampard is willing to pay him a weekly fee of £216,000 per week in order to lure him away from Old Trafford.
Manchester United are going to show faith in David De Gea, but Dean Henderson would definitely love to be playing regularly ,and, if Ole does not show signs for Henderson to be playing for Manchester United, then it may seem highly likely for him to search for new pastures.
Nick Pope
Someone playing for a mid table side, Nick Pope has definitely been a surprise with many big clubs scouting him. Dyce, would never want him to leave but Chelsea would love him between the sticks and let’s not forget, he would cost much less then all above mentioned and his performance in the Premier League has of course been exceptional.
